Colton was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta and completed his undergraduate degree at Mount Royal University with a double major in General Management and Supply Chain Management, and a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He articled at Schnell Hardy Jones LLP with Evan Hardy as his principal before becoming an Associate at the firm in 2022.

Colton’s areas of interest include Corporate/Commercial Law, Real Estate, Wills and Estates, and Employment Law.

Colton was the co-founder and the Treasurer for the Canadian Law Society at the University of Essex. He organized events in collaboration with various Societies at the University related to Human Rights. He was also Vice President of the Essex Volleyball performance team and a member of the Blades Volleyball team as a full-time athlete. Colton is a current member of the Central Alberta Bar Society.

Colton enjoys volunteering with the community by coaching youth volleyball. On his off days, he enjoys spending time with family, snowboarding, playing volleyball, and spending time at the lake.
